Reference previous updates.  We are at our store and warehouse every day for our nationwide rental program and local retail of water and trail sport goods.  We are still operating with shorter hours each day.  We understand many retailers have discontinued their rental offerings due to COVID, but with our specialized facility, we are well equipped to protect our staff and customers from any contamination concerns.  Gear is washed appropriately after every use, is allowed to dry in Arizona's intense, disinfecting sunlight, and we cycle gear based on time since last rental to be long past any life span of a virus before it goes back out.  If there are any questions on our cleaning process, feel free to call us to discuss.

Latest update:  05-02-20

Reference previous updates.  We continue to be open 7 days a week, although still with less staff and shorter hours.  We are specialty, so really don't have to worry about a crowded show room at any one time.  We disinfect surfaces throughout each day.  Our rental department is open as well, and yes, any rented gear is well-cleaned after each use (we also set recently rented rental gear aside to make sure the longest possible time - a great virus killer - passes before available for rent again.   We expect some of the parks and campgrounds to open up this month, and are ready to ship whenever you need some gear to go camping or backpacking.  We still have a great selection of sport and fishing kayaks on hand from the Hobie and Riot Kayak brands.

3-31-20.   Although as of tonight Arizona is under a "stay-at-home" advisory, our operations fall under one of many exemptions as we sell items used by defined "Essential Businesses" and our rental and sales departments ship products to end users.  So while operating with a smaller staff, we remain open (for fewer hours per day) outside of being away from the shop for a few minutes on errands if there's just one person working at that time.  We accept and process online orders as usual, and continue to follow CDC guidelines for the safety of staff and customers.  Our hours are now 10-4 Monday - Saturday; 12-4 on Sunday.  We offer curbside and shipping service, as well as delivery of kayaks; call for details.

03-19-20  We remain open regular business hours at our retail store in Tempe Arizona and are accepting orders for shipment or local pickup.  We are following best practices to keep our staff and customers safe at our store, but can provide for service outside our doors if requested, and kayak deliveries by staff are available anywhere in the state of Arizona, eastern California, and southern Nevada - call for details.  We continue to have daily Fedex pickup and deliveries of rental gear for our customers just about anywhere in the US.  All rental gear is always cleaned and disinfected after every use, and in any event, the time lapse between uses of rental gear is greater than what our understanding is the lifespan of most contagions (a few days on hard surfaces).
