The food storage container we rent is made of fine, small loops of mesh steel that small rodents and birds cannot get into to.  Each bag is large enough for several days of food.

Seal it up by closing the strong velcro top - small animals cannot force it open.  But this isn't strong enough to prevent a bear from getting into your food on a camping or backpacking trip.  Use one of our rental bear canisters for protection against larger animals.

There will be a grommet available to tie a rope to the bag - it's best to elevate your food off of the ground, and that should also keep a critter from dragging it off somewhere.
